My man is always having a 2-3 days beard. His face skin is not having a smooth colour and it's a little bit rough. Once I tried to put some make up to hide some acne and this foundation was so much visible on him. I even could see some of foundation between his beard hairs.

he's a man. he doesn't need foundation. What you need to do is do some research on acne products and find which one works for him. I suggest perhaps a dermatologist. Make up is for girls for a reason. unless hes in a play do not belittle him like that. Doing that is just saying to him that you don't like the way he looks. It's actually quite rude that would even ask this.
