Does foundation make-up damadge young skin?

ok well I have a 14 year old daughter and she's starting to use foundation, will this damadge her skin now and in future?Does foundation make-up damadge young skin?
i would suggest to tell ur daughter to use Bare Minerals. it is a mineral-based foundation that gives flawless coverage. what it does? Bare minerals is made of only pure, crushed minerals from the earth, Bare Minerals SPF 15 Foundation looks like a powder, feels like a cream, and buffs on like silk, giving skin a natural luminosity while feeling as if u are not wearing any makeup at all. what else u need to know? the coverage is complete and is free of preservatives, talc, oil, waxes, fragrances, and other chemicals that can irritate skin and cause breakouts. also try to convince ur daughter to wear make up and foundation only when it is necessary. her young skin or complexion will be damaged by cosmetics. at 14 she should settle for mascara and lip gloss. my mom at 50 is free of blemishes and wrinkles because when she was younger well until now she hardly wear make up and doesn't apply anything on her face other than pure olive oil. i'm in my early twenties, i have flawless skin and i only wear make up when i attend important events like parties and social gatherings.

It depends on what products she's using. Some products are bad for skin, but some foundations can be good.

If your daughter has relatively clear skin then I suggest a tinted moisturizer for now. Neutrogena has great tinted moisturizers. If you want something with a bit more coverage I suggest a mineral foundation. Mineral foundations feel very light. I usually forget that I'm even wearing mine. Some brands that have mineral foundation are Neutrogena, Maybelline, and BareMinerals.

No matter what makeup she wears, she needs to make sure that she washes it off every night before bed.
I suggest tinted moisturizer for your 14 year old, if shes just starting out with makeup.

If you sleep in makeup and wear it 24/7, naturally it'll make you break out. But it wont kill you or severly damage your skin in the long run.

Be more concerned if shes a sun lover and into real tanning, because that will damage her sin.
YEAH, it does..after taking it off, you will notice how bad u really looks, and thats depressing,

after using it, u must continue, they contain some kind of ingredient that cause damage to the skins, so after using it, u will need more from them.

i personally suggest not using it till older age,

your skin will be alot better later on the years.
Nop it doesnt. If she doesnt wash it off before bed, it will block the pores and cause blackheads. If she washes it off before bed, she should be fine. Im 13 and have been using makeup since i was 8. No, i am not a skank etc. i just really love the stuff =]
Yes,but it depends of their quality..

Mineral powders and especial natural powders don't damage the skin.I think so.
if she slaps it on like sunblock then tell her to cut it down a bit...if she washes it off before bed she should b alright...but i suggest u get her a mineral foundation....it will b better for her skin

Quality foundation make-up for dry/sensitve skin?

It seems like everything I try drys out my skin, including the ';mosturizing'; make-ups. I put on lotion first but still no luck. I'm not looking for the cheapest make-up here, but reasonably priced (maybe under $25). My skin is dry but can get a little shiny. Almost no breakouts, but a little blotchy so I need medium coverage.Quality foundation make-up for dry/sensitve skin?
Try puritycosmetics.co.uk. It is made from natural ingredients and gives your skin a lovely natural look.Quality foundation make-up for dry/sensitve skin?
moisturize well in the morning %26amp; at night. don't forget to exfoliate. we all have skin problems especially during the winter, it's just important to moisturize more during the cold months. try using liquid foundation instead of powder or even try a tinted moisturizer. laura mercier makes great tinted moisturizers so does la mer. both are definitely worth trying.
Dior Satin Finish Liquid make up
Try a liquid moisturizer from Benefit. Its like $27 but it makes the look come together and makes your skin look hydrated. Its called YOU REBEL
Hi dear. Don't give up! There are products out there that will help you. First, you need a day creme or moisturizer that is water based. Lotions that contain mineral oil sit on the top layer of your skin like saran wrap and just get wiped off over time. Water based products will penetrate the dermis and deeply condition your skin leaving it looking and feeling hydrated and healthy.

I recommend Arbonne as they formulate all of their products, including cosmetics, with natural botanicals that are beneficial for all skin types and will not cause dryness or irritation. They are formulated without any chemicals, wax, dyes, fragrances, animal products or bi-products, alcohol, acetone, or mineral oil.

The line defiance foundation is perfect for people with dry skin. Arbonne also has a mineral powder if you wish to give your skin a nice flawless look after foundation. If you love the products, you have the option of purchasing them at 35% off which will save you a lot of money. If you're open to trying a free sample of the day creme, I'm happy to send one to you. If you would like more information on the cosmetics, contact me and I'll get you the info. Good luck.
Try Aveeno or Clinique
Check out Clinique, or Lancome products (may be around $30 though)
You should try Bare Minerals... it works great! It provides full coverage and is all natural so it should help with breakouts. Also, make sure you are using a moisturizer after you wash your face. Sephora, Ulta and QVC all carry the line.
If your skin is dry as in flaking and feeling like it is tight all the time, I would go with Mary Kay's Full coverage foundation. It has additional moisturizer to help the dryness. If you have oily or kind of in between I would go with Mary Kay's medium coverage. It is my favorite!! I have used it for 3 years now (all oil free). They will stripe you for the correct shade and make it match perfectly so there are no lines across your jaw line. This foundation is only $14.00 a tube and lasts a minimum of 6 months! Enjoy!!

Make up (foundation, concealer) for oily skin with acne?

i want something that won't make my skin extra shiny at all because i hate that soooo much... who doesnt? :-)

also, do you think that i could just use concealer and powder? because i only need it in certain areas ( apples of cheeks, chin, nose)

thanks!Make up (foundation, concealer) for oily skin with acne?
i got oily skin as well, and i tend to break out.. but make up helps alot if you HAVE TO wear it.. the less amount of make-up is better for your skin.. i just use concealer and powder and its great.. dont use foundation!... if you can just put it on the areas you need then concealer is best. I use for concealer ALMAY senstive for acne prone skin.. and the BEST powder and make-up.. is called physicians formula.. it's make talc free so it doesn't clog your pores or affect your skin.. oh, and pointer - when you apply your make-up Concealer or powder, apply downwards always.. never push it up into the skin, alway go downwards, this helps by not pushing so much makeup into the pores.. hoope this helps :)Make up (foundation, concealer) for oily skin with acne?
I have really oily skin and I thought the best foundation for me was Loreal True Match Minerals Foundation Powder. You only need to apply once and it will stay on all day! It won't give you that cakey effect and it wont make your face shine, I love it! Benefit do some really good concealers, pricey yeah I know but they do really work. If you go there and ask on of the ladies they will advise you on which is best for your skin. =)
I have a very oily tzone... and slightly oily everywhere else on my face.. .go here http://www.youtube.com/user/ScottiBug and see the products I use and how I do my makeup :) my skin is very clear because of it :)

What foundation make-up would you suggest?

brand? I've tried about 3 different ones from wal-mart and all were about 10 dollars and they don't even seem worth it. Then I got some great foundation on sell from avon and well they don't make it anymore....

what does everyone else and works great??What foundation make-up would you suggest?
Contact your Avon rep or call Avon directly they can tell you what product replaced yoursWhat foundation make-up would you suggest?
ok ive been a makeup artist for 17 years. The only place to match up foundation is on your neck. Its the only place on your body with an even skin tone. Not your arm, hand, wrist or cheek. Your neck. Sometimes if you want good makeup you must spend god money as well. Cheap does not work which im sure you have learned. also try going to a Makeup artist. Consultations are free. Not the MAC counter or mall but at a Salon or Spa where they are licensed.
Physicians Formula. It's the only foundation I'll wear. It's a cheaper alternative to Bare Minerals but I still prefer it.

http://www.physiciansformula.com
I absolutely love Bare Minerals. It's about $25.00 for the large jar, but it lasts forever. Plus you don't feel like you have a heavy mask on.
i use covergirl clean makeup..its only 5.00 i think
try foundation from kohls or someplace fance. they have thm fo cheap, and they look great.
Cement makes a good foundation. Add rebar for greater stability.
try mac make up

and lancom liquids

try more expensive brands and do more layering

concelors cover welll..

i mix 3 diff brands and i top it with conceloron blemishes
i use bare essentials it is kind of expensive but it works great i believe you can go online to get it or i think it is on QVC
I use Bare Minerals, and I absolutely love their products. My skin is pretty red and uneven and I have acne, but they cover so well!! It seems kind of expensive at first, but it lasts forever and makes such a huge difference that its worth the price. Try the starter kit, because it comes with a lot of different shades, the bronzer, and other great products. If you go to ULTA, then they will match your shade for you, but its not a problem if you don't because the bare minerals seem to match pretty much any skin tone. My skin looks great now, and I bet yours will too!! I hope this helps you!!!
almay
I use Revlon Colorstay...it works great year round and it doesnt cost an arm and a leg.
I use bare minerals. I bought the starter kit at the bare escentuals boutique at our mall. It's also sold at sephora or online. Just know that I broke out at first and so did my sister. Turns out it was cleaning out our pores. We both have very healthy skin now to where we get compliments. It's wonderful stuff. I highly recomment it. It lasts forver too!
i echo everyone else who has said bare escentuals! it's amazing and lightweight and yet you can get a lot of coverage if you want. it's good for your skin, lasts forever.
Clinique- worth it and will last forever
Kirkland Signature by Borghese from Costco

Clinique (get the make up artist to match it to your skin...then ask for a one week sample to try it out)

if you have great skin, sometimes foundation isn't needed.
stilla from sephora-----about $30
Bare Minerals by Bare Escentuals is superior to anything I have used before. I strongly recommend you give this brand a try, I used lancome before but this works a lot better and it's good for your skin too.
Shu Uemura makes amazing foundation. It's $38 I think. It's totally worth it because you can go to the make-up counter and they will tell you exactly what color to use. It's made with deep sea water and focuses on hydration so it's good for your skin. IDK I love it. I've tried many of the drug-store brands, as well as Mary-Kay, and department store foundations...I still %26lt;3 Shu Uemura the most.
at qvc there is a line called bare minerals, it is great.
I love Chanel personally and think it's great. But if you would consider mineral makeup, Bare Escentuals is good too. You can check out some details and reviews here: http://beauty-tricks.com/index.php?optio鈥?/a>

I like the products by Rimmel, which you can buy at Wal Mart, they may be a little more expensive but they are pretty darn good...
