I don't know how to get that fresh, dewy look? %26amp;%26amp; would love to learn! :)How do you achieve a ';dewy'; make-up foundation look?
buy a foundation that has a dewy finish. How do you achieve a ';dewy'; make-up foundation look?
If you have super clear skin, get a glow by applying a sheer tinted moisturizer to your entire face and skipping the powder.
Step 2
Blend a shimmery gel into the apples of your cheeks.
Step 3
If you have some things going on with your skin you'd like to hide, apply a liquid foundation to your entire face, and then dust with a shimmer powder. Finish by lightly spritzing your face with a hydrating mist.
Also follow these tips:
* If you're naturally a bit oily, start with a clean, dry face, and apply an oil-free moisturizing lotion, skipping the T-zone, which doesn't need it.
* If your skin is dry, start with a clean, damp face, and apply a light coating of moisturizing cream to the entire face.
* Instead of using foundation, choose a sheer tint that exactly matches your skin tone and is not a hint darker. Look for a product labeled with the words ';glow'; and ';transparent,'; and avoid anything with shimmer. Remember, you're looking for dewy, not sparkly.
* Use very little product and blend well. Apply just a few drops of makeup, concentrating on the upper cheekbones and sides of the face; blend in light strokes with your fingers.
* Apply a golden, rosy-hued gel or cream blush to the apples of the cheeks, and extend the makeup lightly upward at the cheekbones.
* Apply a soft highlighting cream or gel to the entire eyelid and under the brow bones.
* To keep your look more natural, use only the slightest bit of mascara.
* Keep lips clean and simple, using the same golden-rosy shade you used on your cheeks.
* Don't apply face powder -- it will make your skin look matte, not dewy.
Hope this helps, I'm thinking of trying this myself! =)
Well this'll probably work! All you need to do is put on a facial moisturizer and right after put on your foundation. you can also try rubbing a little bit of an essential oil like lavender between your palms to warm it up and then pressing your palms against you cheeks. hope i helped beautiful %26lt;3
Get a highlighter, like Benefit High Beam and mix a little drop into your foundation and then apply. Just be careful not to use too much or your face will look shiny.
Pursebuzz on youtube has a wonderful tutorial on the Dewy look

What is your favorite brand of mineral make-up [foundation, eye, blush] and why?
Avon cause its as good as bare minerals and sheer cover and costs less! heres a linkWhat is your favorite brand of mineral make-up [foundation, eye, blush] and why?
I agree...AVON has a great product with their new mineral make up line. I was apprehensive at first - to try any mineral make up - but after giving in I've found it has great coverage - you do not need a lot of product - it is inexpensive compared to other brands - easy to apply. What is your favorite brand of mineral make-up [foundation, eye, blush] and why?
Lili Lolo fantastic colours and luminous finish great tester sizes too so you can try different colours for a few pounds and buy the larger pots of your favorites.
I use Bare Eccentials....and I love it. It's easy to put on and I love the colors.
It looks and feels so natural. You can even sleep in it without breakouts.
i use bella pierre, its like bare minerals but less expensive, its natural looking , great coverage and it doesnt cause breakouts ( i have less to cover)
Try puritycosmetics.co.uk. It is really good!
i'm not a beauty expert, but i *hate**hate**hate* cover girl makeup. it makes my skin look orange.

How can i stop my foundation (make up ) from going all blotchy and coming of?
when i put my foundation on it always goes blotchy and cumz off and leaves a line found my face its so annoying and dead noticible is there anythin tht i can do to stop it from coming of easilyHow can i stop my foundation (make up ) from going all blotchy and coming of?
make sure you put moistureizer on and let it dry before you put on foundation. Don't put on too much foundation and make sure you hvae a quality product. I like Cllinique perfectly real foundations... After the foundation apply powder which will set the foundation in place. Also, make sure you're exfoliating your skin so that dry skin and what not aren't messing up your foundation's look. I like microderm abrasion for making my skin look radiant. How can i stop my foundation (make up ) from going all blotchy and coming of?
You need to use a better foundation. My guess is you're using a drugstore brand like Cover Girl? First step: get something from Sephora, most anything there will do.
Second, how old are you? If you're under 30, you probably can go without foundation. Just use a concealer to dab on any blemishes or dark spots. Otherwise, it looks like you're using too much.
If the problem still happens, and you still insist on wearing foundation, use a good cleanser. The Murad line is excellent. Pricey, but a good investment since it lasts a long time. Make sure you have a smooth, even canvas to start with. This can also be accomplished by using a pre-foundation ';base'; to fill in your pores. Smashbox makes an excellent one.
Finally, make sure you're using the right color. Have an employee at whatever store you go to help match up your skin tone with the right color. If there's a noticable line from your face to neck, it's the wrong color foundation..
Hope this helps!
yeah it sound slike you need a different brand. it soud slike you might be using a moisturizer... if so, be sure its totally dry before applying foundation!
Set your foundation with powder. You can use a colorless powder for that purpose. Also, make sure that you're not using too much foundation. I would also recommend that you apply the foundation with your fingers, it allows you to get it just where you need it.
Try getting a gentle exfoliate and scrub your face gently a couple of times a week.Thy should help!
OMG THAT IS A HUUUUUUUUGE PROBLEM
try playing counter strike
try running amakeup sponge dampened with water over your foundation before you do the rest of your face.
Try using Almy... It works wonders for me... and dont layer code of foundation on your skin...
Have you tried anything from the Bare Minerals line? It is a powder foundation, but it blends into the skin and you only need to use a tiny amount. If you have an ULTA nearby, you can buy it without having to purchase from the infomercial.
If you buy the entire starter kit, it will run you about $60 but you will get 2 foundations, powder, blush, and 3 brushes. After that, a single foundation is about $25.
Buy a good quality one...
Also it sounds like you might have dry skin, or really greasy so either cleanse or moisturize!
Wear a primer underneath and finish off with powder which sets the foundation in.
i would suggest useing an different foundation... but if you really like the kind that you are using... maybe try putting a powder on after you use your foundation cause that will hepl it from getting blotchy

I am going to began wearing concealer and foundation make-up. How do i choose the color that is right for me?
as a firsttimer, you cant do it by yourself. ask a salesrep to advise a shade thats matches yours. or you can just try products on. the downfall of drugstore makeup is that occasionally there arent any testers available, which is why i use department store makeup because the specialists there do all the work for you and testers are always available, and if you ask nicely, samples!I am going to began wearing concealer and foundation make-up. How do i choose the color that is right for me?
You first want to narrow down your choices - decide if you have a fair, medium, or dark complexion. Then when you choose what brand of concealer %26amp; foundation you want, there should be about 3-5 choices of the one you picked. Then you just pick the one you think matches best. If you're not sure, or if you're in between a two of them, go with a lighter one, and just buy a darker shade of powder. Going too dark will you give a bad, orange glow.I am going to began wearing concealer and foundation make-up. How do i choose the color that is right for me?
This is what I do, I go the a make up counter..like the first poster said, they have those at Macy's then I buy what they use on me. In the future, I keep those bottles to take to the drugstore with me to match the colors up with store that they sell there.
There's lots of website's that will give you ideas but I would just go to a beauty counter at a macy's or dillards or something like that they will help you determine your best choices or even go to marykay.com i love their makeup and skin care lines!
I always find a mirror(compact usually)and compare it to my face.refill

What is the best make up foundation?
I am looking for something you can find in drug stores, but does a good job at covering under eye circles and making the skin tone look even. I don't have bad skin, but I want something that makes it look flawless. Also on the natural/dewy side, nothing cakey or heavy. What is the best make up foundation?
Bare naturals by,,, i think its revlon? Its a mineral based foundation :) The whole line from foundation to powder and concealer works really well! I've used it for awhile but decided to upgrade to MAC Cosmetics which are really pricey but seem to work best overall. But if your on a budget i suggest using any mineral based make up product. :)What is the best make up foundation?
Relvon Colorstay Foundation. I have it and I really like it. I majority of the time use high end cosmetics %26amp; do like drugstore products. Relvon Colorstay Foundation does what it says. It is long lasting. It doesn't give me the cakey look. It looks natural %26amp; flawless on me. It also depends on how you apply the foundation. If you don't know how to apply it on then there will cakiness. What I do is I apply the foundation with a oval foundation brush then I take a wedge and spray it w/ just clean water and I just dry it a bit so it can be damp and not too watery. I take the wedge and even out the foundation. If you want to try that method then you can, but give it a few trys. You can also use MAC 187 brush to apply it to the face, I also love that way of applying too. After you're all finished, apply loose setting powder. I hope that helps.
For covering dark circles %26amp; red spots or uneven skin tone. I really recommend you get a concealer and just dab the concealer on those parts then apply foundation.
well i dont know but chanel teint innocence liquid foundation is amazing for the flawless look and its dewy and light too, dont know if you can find that in drug stores though, debanhams though!
I like Guerlain Parure - it is a compact powder foundation, so it never looks cakey.
Shiseido Pureness is lighter still.
For me it's ';true blend'; that works best.

What is a better make up foundation, mac or stila?
I have fair skin, rosey cheeks, but am recently noticing some darkness under my eyes. I don't ever really wear foundation, but am looking for something to even out my skin and reduce the darkness under my eyes. What is a better make up foundation, mac or stila?
I also have a problem with getting dark circles under my eyes.
The concealer that I use is MAC studio finish with SPF 35. It is AMAZING! and does wonders for getting rid of those dark spots.
I first learned about it from cosmo, where Carmen Electra recommended it. I've been using it for 3 years.
Here's the link to it:

It's a little pricy, but one of the pots lasts literally over a year so it's totally worth it :)
Also, drinking a lot of water and exercising helps to reduce the darkness too. What is a better make up foundation, mac or stila?
mac
mac is so much nicer..but much more expensive
mac
I would recommend MAC.
But not a powder foundation. Try a liquid one. It seems it would work the best for you.
i enjoy mac, it covers very well and it doesnt look fake. I have fair skin and sometimes makeups look too orange or red on me. i found that mac really makes it look quite natural.

Do you think Dream Matte mousse make up foundation is good for acne prone skin?
well, girls my skin is prone to acne and right now I have pimples and acne scars and also some pimple bumps.. and I dont know how to cover them up? please suggest a good concealer but not too pricey. thanks alot peoplezzzzzz...Do you think Dream Matte mousse make up foundation is good for acne prone skin?
Dream Matte Mousse foundation is good, however if your starting to break out or already have blemishes then i suggest mineral makeup.
Maybeline has new mineral makeup which is oil free, hypoalergenic and can actually do good for your skin. It helps because it isnt feeding the bacteria on your skin and contains no oil and nothing that will irritate your skin.
I use it and have found it amazing for my skin...it isnt pricey, maybe a few more dollars then your normal foundation however this is just because its a new product, it happens with them all.
good luck =]Do you think Dream Matte mousse make up foundation is good for acne prone skin?
nooo
i wouldnt use cream makeup on acne prone skin because it could be really heavy and seep into your pores, causing more breakouts : (
try a mineral makeup like bare minerals or maybelline has a line of mineral makeup, so does loreal...
but bare minerals would be your best bet
hope i helped
I have skin like yours and I have tried that make up. Don't do it!! Try mineral make up, its done wonders for my face!! (and it looks great)
NOOOO!!!!! Please don't use that on your skin it's far too heavy and your skin needs to breath. My favourite concealer I've used by far is MAC's Select Cover Up. Very worth the extra few dollars because it lasts ages.
that would work with a lil of rimmel powered stian foundtion on top

Girls: What type of make up foundation would you reccomend?

I really like Clinique, but it may be a little out of a teenagers budget. If you can afford it, it's good. If not, I recommend Cover Girl. The worst thing you can do is buy the cheapest foundations, they're typically very streaky looking and oily.
nars has a really nice foundation. but if you're looking for something that isn't skyrocketing expensive, then i recommend clinique.

What is the best make-up foundation you have used?
I am currently using clinique, but I am looking to try something new. I want foundation that goes on smooth and looks natural. I don't like that ';caked on'; look, I hate heavy or wet make-up. I prefer poweder make-up to liquid. Just let me know what you have used and personally love! Thanks! What is the best make-up foundation you have used?
I've used everything over the years - from drug store brands to the more expensive department store stuff. I have been using Bare Minerals for a couple of years now and just love it. Never looks caked, no hardcore blending to avoid a line at your throat/neck area. Also, it's quite inexpensive as it lasts for ages. I recommend that you go to one their outlets (Macy's sells it) and have them figure out the best color for you. The foundation is $20, and the other facial powders (all really great) are anything from $20 - $25.
www.BareEscentuals.comWhat is the best make-up foundation you have used?
I use Bare Essentials mineral make up. It's expensive but you can put a lot of it on and it looks natural without the caked on look. It's also really good for your skin if you have trouble with spots because it doesn't clog up your pores and the motto is 'So pure you can sleep in it' but I'd still recommend taking it off before bed :)
I use Everyday Minerals for my foundation now and I love it! It doesn't irritate my sensitive skin, it's affordable and it gives good coverage. You can actually get a free sample kit if you want to try it out! The sample kit comes with 3 foundation colors, a blush and a concealer. Go here for instructions on how to get it: http://blog.musthavemakeup.com/?p=256
I love love love Bare Minerals. Jane Iredale is also really good if you can afford it. Right now I'm using Covergirl Tru Blend loose powder and I don't really like it... it's really sparkly lol.
Cliniqu perfectly real, and neutrogena visibly firm.
I use the Mineral powder stuff from avon. It's not expensive at all and it works great!! I usually have a lot of red splotches on my face and the foundation really helps with that..

What to do about this foundation make-up?
I were fondation on my face. It is make-up by clinque. I recieved from the mall. The only problem that I have is when I were it my nose and cheeks get shiny. I have to keep blotting it with tissue to bring down the shine. When I talk to the lady at the counter she ask me ';Did I have oily skin';? I told her I was not sure. But, I believe that it was moderately oily. Is my face really oily? What can I do about this shine. My cousin where foundation, I don't know what brand she use on her face, but her face does not get oily nor can you tell she has it on. This is my first time applying foundation. What can I do?What to do about this foundation make-up?
get a free makeover at Macy's and learn about the right foundation for your skin typeWhat to do about this foundation make-up?
You have combination skin oil in the T zone ( nose, cheeks and chin) and the rest is normal to dry. You need to get a facial products to cleanse, tone and moisturize your skin. Also get makeup that is for that skin type. Also use rice papers or beauty blotters to blot and keep oil under control and make up looking fresh. You can get them almost anywhere from most major brands like Mac make up. Also from Mary Kay. I use those and I know usually beauty supply stores carry them. After you do your washing the face regiment the apply moisturizer and then you can apply your foundation use a non-comedogenic one so it wont clog your pores and cause more problems. Also try no to use heavy coverage. A real good make up line to use is Jane Iredale. Its mineral make up and looks so natural and flawless. It is kinda pricey but it's worth it. Also it lasts a long time so it does average out to drug store brands. You just don't have to buy it as often. you can get it from your local estetician or day spa. You can also look up a retailer near you on line?
try the for the oily skin foundation . oh u should try bobbi brown products. they are very good
dont use foundation its horrible for your skin and clogs ur pores and makes its oily and gross and it doesnt do anything for your skin! it actaully makes you look worse, its a very uneven finish and it NEVER comes off!! it sticks to your skin!! i went through waht u went through...use powder or if you can buy that bare mineral stuff its soo flawless trust me im a teen and its been working for me...it cover breakouts and redness and you look like a model with it on, in other words....use it!
oil mattifiers work great! but make sure you are using cleanser and moiturizer for oily to combination skin, the same for your foundation. everyone's skin is different so what works for your cousin may not work for you.
i have oily skin, plus now, im staying in dubai - a HOT place to stay.... i have tried on several creams in the hope that it will help lessen the oil - but nothing helped until i tried OIL OF OLAY (white cream) oh, before chatting further, do you have fair skin? brown maybe? cuz if you're reaaaaalllly dark skinned, i'm sorry, but i don't think this'll work on you...
so, ok... apply that cream first, then dab on your foundation... then finally appy the finishing make-ups... voila!
i hope this will help...

gurl,
i have the same prob exactly like yours.
But i manage to find a solution.
First u have combination skin, normal to oily skin. Oily on T-zone and cheeks, thats the oiliest.
You need to use a moisturiser, doesnt mean oily skin dun need moisturiser. Our oily skin moisturiser acts as matifiers as well. Less sebum production on the affected areas.
Get to know ur skin before u apply any foudation.
3 steps skin care regime is a must. I use 2 find it a hassle but it paid off.........
Use foundation dats suitable for oily skin.
Stick ones are great! Avoid liquid ones. Also avoid 2 way cake, cause more build ups...makes it more oily. Prevent blotting with blotting paper...it will produce more oil. Use a thin sheet of tissue paper...it helps...dab lightly ..on the areas....
p/s: its best after applying moisturiser, find a great makeup base to hold your makeup longer and less shine. It helps UV rays and even ur skin tone.
if you have oily skin then get make up for that or change your facial products that you wash with
You need to use powder on your oily areas. Tell the salesperson that you think you have combination skin with oil in some places. If you use a mineral foundation like Bare Escentuals, you will not have as much trouble.
Apply powder on after it
Use Astringent
Apply a translucent powder before foundation
All those work great!
get a free makeover at Macy's and learn about the right foundation for your skin typeWhat to do about this foundation make-up?

Whats the best foundation make up ?
Whats the best foundation make up to use?
The stuff I have now makes your skin look really shiney and caked on even if your not wearing much of it.
I want foundation that will make it look like im not wearing any haha.Whats the best foundation make up ?
mineral power then take a sponge after you apply it and rub it in where it looks caked on because i think a lot of foundation does that.Whats the best foundation make up ?
relvon liquid %26amp; powder foundation on after. $13 dollars each. best foundation EVER. doesn't rub off onto clothing, matches skin tone perfectly, evens out skin tone and makes it look flawless. yet, it doesnt look like your wearing a foundation at all. (some foundations like loreal look cakey and like sit on top of the skin. but revlon doesn't at all.
(best DRUGSTORE foundation there is)
Well, we all have our personal preference and different skin types, but for me mineral makeup has worked the best. I have oily t-zone skin so not looking ';shiny'; is a concern. I have used mineral make up for 3+ years now and so has my daughter (who got cursed with my skin). I use an all natural blend that does not contain bismuth (this ingredient will give you a shiny tin man look). I never thought a ';powder'; foundation could give me the coverage I needed (to hide acne scars) or would stay on my oily skin, but it works better than any liquid foundation I have used (and I have tried a ton of them). Good Luck!
i'm really sorry i forget the name but its Maybelline in a little blue bottle and its water based and won't clog pores.
that makes my skin look flawless and natural like i'm not wearing it. also put a little mineral powder on top for it to stay or put moisturizer on before. either helps make it look even MORE natural. good luck!
Use powder foundation. It works the best and your skin doesn't look cakey. Powder foundation makes it look natural, but make sure to choose the right colour. What works the best in my opinion is..
mineral power foundation.. the powder kind

I am a seventeen year old guy (straight) who wears foundation make-up. Is that creepy or weird?
without it i look like ****. So i wont stop wearing it, do you know of any alternatives to wearing make-up? anything that gets rid of acne and acne scars?I am a seventeen year old guy (straight) who wears foundation make-up. Is that creepy or weird?
nope, i've got acne, i know how it feels.I am a seventeen year old guy (straight) who wears foundation make-up. Is that creepy or weird?
Ewwww.......something's wrong.....
well i dont think its weird or creepy at all.
but washing your face daily would help acne.
foundation is fine as long as you dont put too much or anything,
you dont want it to be obvious you are wearing it.
well i don't think its creepy at all because i know how annoying acne can be...i would recommend using neutrogena it helps a lot...i use the stress control one and i don't break out as much as i used to...i used to have giant pimples on my face and it they would be so hard to get rid of...but with this my face is smoother and the acne is almost gone...before this i used to use proactive but it would burn my face so i would recommend not using it but what also helped me was murad but i would only use it once a day because i have sensitive skin...but if this doesn't work then u don't see anything wrong with u using make up...(a make up that would help u not break out as much would be bare minerals..its only 25 bucks and it has amazing coverage and its very good for the skin)
Acne sucks dude, i tried everything, but then i finally got the balls to go to a doctor and talk about it, and i got medication. And i am as happy as i have ever been :)
trust me, get the balls to go do a doctor - i did and im happier than i have been in a long time
its not common but its not creepy or weird. Although it will not help the acne or acne scarring. It will only temporarily cover the scars. Your skin is young so you have a high chance the skin can repair itself. Rather than make up you could try skin care to assist repairig the skin. A great one is the estee lauder repair wear night cream. Many creams that you use at night will be the most beneficial to repair skin as night time when you are asleep is the time when skin cells can regenerate or repair. You could also use a tinted mosituriser if the foundation looks or feels unnatual. good luck
Nope thats fine
Just be sure you use items that has benefits and doesn't look like you are actually wearing some on if you know what I mean.
Good foundations and powders should blend in with your skin and match your skin tone. :)
There are in fact, make-up specifically for men nowadays... a whole range. :)
its a bit weird
try cleansing ur skin
try proactive or dermalogica or if you lookin for a cheaper alternative biore
see a dermotologist. he or she can prescribe you acutane. your acne will be gone forever and it gets rid of most of the scars. good luck.
You're just vain and want to maintain your image I guess. Although, it's not every day I do see seventeen year old guys wearing foundation! Slightly odd...And to clear up acne/scars, just wash your face twice a day or go to the doctors and they will prescribe you with some acne medication.
As long as it looks natural, then you got nothing to worry about. If you want to get rid of acne you could go buy some acne cream from your local supermarket or chemist.
that's not wierd, in japan where i live they have a different type of makeup for guys.
about the acne, wash your face with soap thoroughly in the morning and evening and use a moisturising cream, its simple, easy and it works.
I think it is kinda weird... most of the kids in my school would think its very weird. BUT. If you look better with it, then keep wearing it. Also makeup makes acne worse it clogs your pours.. wash your face with Clearasil or something twice a day and rinse with cold water.
no its finee!
guys steal my makeup all the time...
i bet tons of guys wear makeup but wont admit it.
but if your looking for something for acne...
';try lets be clear'; from AVON.
i use it and it helps soo much for my oily skin.
its soo much cheaper than proactive and it works BETTER.
i also have the spot treatment from them and its AMAZING. works over night.

Nah. One of my best friends is a guy and he wears makeup. Everyone knows it and he's still got almost every girl he meets chasing after him.
I will say this however: foundation can make you break out MORE. Be careful about what kind you're using and be plenty sure to wash it off every night.
No, I would appreciate that, it's not creepy. You want to look better, and it's not like you're wearing more obvious makeup like eyeliner and lipstick. I'm fifteen and think in the future more men will wear a little makeup. Unfortunately I don't know how to get rid of acne as I do the same thing as you!

What to apply in face before putting on mineral powder make up foundation?
Ive been using a mineral make up powder foundation and somehow after I put it, I notice that its not as even or the wrinkles are not filled in by the foundation even if I try to apply it evenly and spread it out well. Should I be applying something else in my face before the mineral makeup powder foundation? What to apply in face before putting on mineral powder make up foundation?
If you apply something else it might be worse, I tried a lot of the mineral powders but never liked them, what I did find and love was the liquid mineral to powder foundation by bee-luscious because it goes on liquid but drys powdery soft giving an airbrushed look with full coverage yet a light feel , you can search under bee royal products its awesomeWhat to apply in face before putting on mineral powder make up foundation?
are u moisturizing before u put on the makeup? if so, wait 5 minutes then apply makeup. if u are doing that and it still is weird, then try a Primer. i heard smashbox has a good one, as probably laura mercier (expensive tho!).... it helps fill in pores and lines, and makes makeup go on smoother.
also, remember to exfoliate ur skin every once in awhile. try a milk and brown sugar scrub :)
Try using a good moisturizer to prep your face. Does the line of mineral foundation you use sell other products? Check to see if they sell a moisturizer.
I use a light moisturizer on the dry ares of my face.Let it set a few minutes then apply makeup!

What is the best make-up foundation to use?
there are a lot of make-up foundations everywhere, but i am looking for one that would suit the oily skin types..most foundations ive tried doesn't last that long and eventually makes my skin feel greasy and all that. what would you recommend? thanks! What is the best make-up foundation to use?
I have oily skin and recently ordered Bare Minerals and I LOVE it. I thought that a powder would never give me the right coverage and it would melt off or wear off during the day but this stuff stays put longer than any liquid foundation I've ever tried and I've tried a few over the years ranging from drug store brands to clinique to Mary Kay and the Bare Minerals is by far the BEST in my opinion. What is the best make-up foundation to use?
You're welcome! If you're looking for a new cleanser try MD Formulations, the link is on the BareMinerals website. Got a free sample with my last shipment and it cleared my skin RIGHT up! Report Abuse
Bare Essentuals BareMinerals is the best stuff ever! Its all pure minerals and won't make you break out.
My favorite is Clinique Super-Balanced. You can't even feel it on your skin, and it lasts most of the day on me. If I'm going out after work, I may reapply, but it doesn't really need it. It never, ever feels greasy, and I've been using it for 15 years. I started by getting a make-over at the Clinique counter and was hooked.
I think u should try some and just sample it! Find which one works for u! Not 1 foundation can be the best for everyone.
well i myself use mac but its not good mayb sum r for oily skin but not all cause last time a went to buy a foundation a guy dat work for mac told me that the mac foundation i wuz getin its not good for my skin since my skin its a lil oily ones i put it on it turns back in t watr and it turns darker it useto give me a matte look ill luk it up if i had the bottle but i finished the bottle and i trouw it away the one i have right now its call studio fix fluid but i recommend lancome photogenic its perfect its 36.50 but if u want some thing cheapr get maybelline pure makeup i try it n MY HAND NOT ON MY FACE and it seem good

MAC Studiofix or MAX Factor Pancake Water Activated Makeup :-)
I know this sounds like old lady makeup, but Merle Norman has powder foundation that works a treat, I have the oily Tzone and this stuff is PERFECT. Plus, you can try it on in the store, and get exactly the right shade for you, and it lasts a long time. Other than that, I think Prescriptives has some good stuff.
i would say MAC, and NO this DOES NOT break people out (to that comment, your friend just doesnt know how to wash her face)
mac foundations r made for oily skin i love studio fix fluid for alot of coverage or select spf for less coverage and if your oily u MUST get blot powder you can put some on your face thru out the day and it soaks up all the oil i love this for summer when i get sweaty its my fave powder for summer!
mary kay cosmetics
I use a covergirl foundation with no oil, it was only like $6 too i know its cheap but the cool thing is it works! And word of advice, stay away from MAC that makeup causes major oil and increases pimples-not cool! hope this helps =]
dream matte mousse!!! TRUST ME, YOU WILL LOVE IT! IT MAKES YOU LOOK FLAWLESS!
use avon
Bare Minerals. Covers everything, looks fresh for ages and you don't look 'caked up' or overly painted.

Where can i purchase the best and cheapest form of make up foundation?
I am just curious to know from what company and the prices for them.
ThnksWhere can i purchase the best and cheapest form of make up foundation?
ELF would have the cheapest, however I have never tried it and it seems to get mixed reviews (some people love it, others hate it) I have Wet n Wild`s tinted moisturizer. It sounds really sheer, but it gives almost as much coverage as a foundation and doesn`t have that dry, flat look to it foundations do. I absolutely LOVE this tinted moisturizer and prefer it over my other foundations!Where can i purchase the best and cheapest form of make up foundation?
Almay has the BEST makeup that's what i use and i don't go broke buying there cosmetics their cover up and foundation cost about 7 or 10 dollars sometimes 12 but it dosnt make my face brake out so i absolutely love it and think you should try it too.
i would say rimmel its really cheap and one of the best. they do mousse which is like more expensive versions and gives you the same coverage. Plus they have ingredients to stop your makeup from coming off in the sun. so it lasts all day
I second Brittany's point, e.l.f. has the cheapest. Their mineral foundation is one product from them I love.
www.eyeslipsface.com
Rimmel foundation is pretty good, besides that Revlon color stay (which is 10-11 bucks) but it is worth it.
I am selling make up I will give you my website if you want to see it.

Rimmel foundation is pretty good, besides that Revlon color stay (which is 10-11 bucks) but it is worth it.
I am selling make up I will give you my website if you want to see it.
How do I get make-up foundation stain out of a pale blue cashmere jumper?
I had a simalar problem it took 3 doses of stain devil and some washing up liquid, and that worked. Hope that works, good luck! How do I get make-up foundation stain out of a pale blue cashmere jumper?
try stain removers but onyly use a little bit! if not put it in water to soak! How do I get make-up foundation stain out of a pale blue cashmere jumper?
Half a bottle of stain romver - vanish in small doses!!
hand wash at a very low temperature using flakes rather than powder best way to dissolve the flakes is to put them in with really hot water then add the cold to cool it right down. dont rub hard over the area squeeze out rather than wringing, rinse in similar temperature water squeezing out excess water again, the let drip dry flat, best way to do this is put an airer over the bath and lay the jumper flat on it.

What is the best make-up foundation that can be bought at retailers such as Wal-mart or Target?
I am still recovering from pityriasis rosea (it makes small, scaly patches all over your body). I have some pale ones on my face so I need full coverage. I also am concerned about my dry skin. What do you recommend? What is the best make-up foundation that can be bought at retailers such as Wal-mart or Target?
My cover up is Recover foundation from Rimmel London. I got it at wal-mart and I swear by it. It covers up everything and gives my face a healthy glow. I lurve it.What is the best make-up foundation that can be bought at retailers such as Wal-mart or Target?
Try onefunshop.com. If they dont have it on the ste? just Contact them and they will for sure give it to you. Make sure to tell them u got there site from Yahoo! Answers. They got them all! Report Abuse
I've used the maybelline dream matte mousse and blush. Both are awesome because it feels so light when applied on your face. I also saw on the show ANTM there was a photo shoot where they used covergirl tru blend and all the girls said ';I don't even feel it.'; So, far those are the two best ones. I actually went to walmart to buy the covergirl tru blend so I could try it out. It was like $9 and I saw a pack of maybelline dream matte mousse with the blush for $7 for the holidays. Regular price of the maybelline dream matte mousse alone is actually like $8 so is actually an awesome deal for the price of the pack.
I love Covergirl Trublend. It is so lightweight and matches skin tone so incrediably well. It doesnt make my face oily at all.
Give Revlon New Complexion a try. Good coverage and it won't aggravate your sensitive skin or dry it out any further.
Just make sure you use a moisturiser underneath for sensitive skin.
I like Dream Matte Mousse by Maybelline or Covergirl TruBlend. Dream Matte Mousse is so light. The blush is good too.
The best thing I found is Maybalene Dream Matte Mouse. It covers dark cicles around eyes and feels extremly lite.
Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse is a really good and affordable foundation for all day coverage for the best results you should put it on with a moist sponge that way it won't go on cakey and it will look more natural. Good luck.
this you can buy at ulta for 35 dollars but i love it it is called Joey New York and it is a foundation that doesnt clog pores and has amazing coverage. i use it and i have HORRIBLE acne. it totally helps my self esteem. good luck!!
if you have dry skin stick to liquids. i like maybelline pure foundation for drugstore stuff
Mattes are not good for dry skin. Try Loreal True Match. It makes the best list! See this source for why. http://www.beautyqa.com/

How can I avoid making my make-up foundation visible when the camera's flash is on?
My foundation is invisible in broad daylight...but when I take pictures of me or my friends, my cover is blown! The foundation make-up becomes very visible with the flash. So aside from removing the flash, what else can I do? Anything else I can apply to my face? How can I avoid making my make-up foundation visible when the camera's flash is on?
Well actually photography makeup is much much heavier than everyday makeup. It's all about blending and keeping it even with your skin tone. If its visible with a flash then it's visible in daylight, you just get a better view of yourself with a picture. How can I avoid making my make-up foundation visible when the camera's flash is on?
There is something you can do. You can mix your foundation with your moisturiser. This gives a far more even and natural looking effect.
In fact, you can even buy tinted moisturiser to suit your unique skin colour.
SPF sun protection in makeup reacts to camera flashes. I go completely ghost white, and it looks bad. You have to find a makeup that doesn't contain spf, or stop wearing moisturizers with it. Of course, this isn't so good for your skin to go without. But that's the way it is.
Try bare minerals make-up. This is a powder foundation %26amp; always matches my skin perfectly. I will never where liquid foundation or concealer again. It covers %26amp; evens out skin tone, but it looks so natural, no one can even tell you are wearing it! Ever since I started wearing it, I don't have ';the mask'; in pictures anymore...it's amazing.
This is the link: http://www.bareminerals.com/
It will show you locations of stores near you. It may be a little pricier than your normal liquid foundation, but the beginners kit lasts me almost the entire year!

Which is better foundation make up that doesn't clog pores?
powder or liquid foundation?Which is better foundation make up that doesn't clog pores?
Bee Luscious has both. It won;t break you out because there is no oil, bismuth oxychloride and no talc. You can get powder, compact and liquid in both cream to powder and one that has a brush. Go to their website and check it out. All of the foundations are the same except the Photo Touch (the one that has a built in brush).Which is better foundation make up that doesn't clog pores?
Usually powder, but some people are sensitive to it and it makes them break out. I have some problems with my skin and have used Revlon Colorstay foundation for oily/combination skin for nearly 3 years, and it has never made me break out. I think it depends on your skin type, lol!
http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.a鈥?/a>
honestly this is the best foundation i have ever used in my whole entire life. Maybelline Superstay Silky Smooth Foundation. it stays on so well, that i will get out of the shower and it is still perfectly applied to my face... yet when i wash with facewash, it comes right off. i live right by the beach so i go in the ocean almost every day and it never ever comes off in the water. it lasts all day everyday.
and its not thick or goopy either. it feels light and silky smooth.
it has spf 12 and is dermatologist recommended.
if you look at the picture in the link, it shows half the bottle is white and half is tan. the tan side is kinda like regular foundation and the white side is a special stuff that you mix with it that makes it stay on and feel so smooth. each side has its own dispenser so you can control how much of each that you want. i recommend just doing half and half.
this is the best foundation ever and i would hate to see anyone not buy it.
i bought mine at longs drug store...but you can buy it anywhere that sells makeup and i think it costs about 8 or 9 bucks.
this is the best 9 bucks you will ever spend =]
Definitely liquid. It is much lighter and it never gets cakey. I use rimmel 16 hour last long foundation and it doesn't bother my skin. Also powder foundation absorbs sweat and just stays like that which will give you acne. Good luck!
Mineral make-up free of corn starch, tacl and bismuth oxychloride is best; this usually takes the form of a loose powder, though some liquids are also available.

The best foundation would have to be airbrush foundation. Airbrush foundation doesn't show makeup lines or make your face look cakey. In photography whats the best foundation make up to use on models?

Can anyone recommend a really good mineral make up foundation?
I have tried 3 different brands now, and although they were all ok, none were great and the l'oreal one was horrific.
I have acne prone skin so I need one that wont clog my pores.
Any suggestions? Can anyone recommend a really good mineral make up foundation?
bare minerals has worked the best for me. I also used L'oreal and it also clogged my pores and cause cystic acne. Can anyone recommend a really good mineral make up foundation?
You should try Neutrogena healthy skin liquid foundation. It's non-comodegenic (so it won't clog your pores), and it contains minerals and plant elements to help prevent breakouts. I wear it and I love it. It looks very natural - you can hardly even see it. People just assume that I have perfect skin and I don't wear foundation, though in reality, i get pimples every so often. If you really want a powder foundation (which i wouldn't recommend, b/c it's messy and not as natural looking) then you can try bare minerals. It's the best for powder. :) Good luck! I hope I helped!
Oh goodness, that girl that said no mac, should get her facts straight before she talks. Most of the MAC makeup is highly pigment made for stage performers and photography, BUUUUUUUUT they also have a mineral line, intended for everyday wear for regular people, with vitamins and spf in it. The mineralize foundation loose, actually has more minerals and vitamins than Bare minerals. I think that one is great for acne prone skin, i was using clinque before, and it broke me out bad, but this one has worked great and has kept my skin clear!
bare escentuals has this product called rare minerals. its an overnight mineral powder that really clears your blemishes while covering them up at the same time. you put it on underneath the normal bare minerals powder.
also..
i have just recently became a fan of Urban Decay. i use their surreal skin mineral face makeup and it works great!
oh and absolutely NO MAC!
its soo bad for your skin. its stage makeup for performers not something you should wear on a daily basis.
I really love bare escentuals. I have really pale skin and I've never found a foundation to match it before bare escentuals. It's light, not cakey, and doesn't cause acne. It's expensive, but you can get good deals on ebay.
If you have a Sephora near you, they generally have samples out that you can try in the store. See if you like it :)
Everyday Minerals.
www.Everydayminerals.com
You can order a FREE kit.
Comes with your choice of 3 foundation, 1 concealer, and 1 blush.
You just need to pay the shipping and handling.
My skin is the same way. I bought bare-minerals the other day and it works pretty good, just doesn't cover anything up. It is usually expensive, but I got my kit for just $15 at Ulta. Maybe you should try it and see if it works.
BARE MINERALS all da way....but as far as a concealer i say MACs studio finish gr8 for under eyes and spot blemishes...i don't think mineral concealers/bisques are that great only because dey fade pretty fast and only provide subtle camouflaging
Try physicians formula. It's like ten bucks it's worth it. It's a minereal powder foundation.

What's the best type of foundation make-up for face??
i was wondering because i was curious about the crush minerals stuff and if it works better than liquid make-up?
wut's the best or what's your favorite??
thanksWhat's the best type of foundation make-up for face??
i use bare mineralsWhat's the best type of foundation make-up for face??
It's all about your prefrence and skin type. You can usually go to the makup counter at a department store and test out different kinds (liquid, powder) and different brands. Plus, that way you know how the makup will look on your skin so you will find the perfect match for you!
Otherwise, it also depends on what you need it for. If you are younger and just starting to use make up, you probably want something light like a powder, and make sure it won't clog your pores (look for ';dermatologist approved'; or something written on the container). You proably don't even need to use a full foundation yet, you could get away with tinted moisturiser (make sure there is SPF!!!) and call it a day!
Most definitely use the minerals! I used to use the popular liquid makeups and they never stayed on and always looked streaky!
I recently changed to Bare Minerals Bare Essentuals. What a difference it made! ( I tried the cheap kind from the drug store and they were not the same at all !!!- trust me!)
The knock-offs made my skin feel heavy, dry and was way too ';sparkly.';
So I suggest using the the the better of the minerals especially since it's your first time trying it. Choose a color close to your own.
It will stay on all day even if your face perspires a little, plus it makes your complexion look fantastic!
If and when you get your minerals, make sure you get a ';buffing'; brush...known as a ';KUBUKI'; brush. It's a big and soft brush that will blend the minerals in really nicely.
There's so many different things to choose from in the ';minerals'; family.
Here's a suggestion...go to Ebay, click on Bare Essentuals
Bare Minerals and you will see sooo many items they have!
The prices are good there and if you don't like them, which I can't believe you won't, find one of the auctions where you can return it for a refund. Simple as that!
They also have eye shadows in that brand and they look fantastic on your eyes!
What I do is Buff the minerals foundation all over my face, ears and neck including my chest area then follow up with ';Warmth minerals. Warmth is exactly that...it makes your face warm and radiant looking.
I'm sure after using it the very first time, you AND everyone else will notice a BIG difference!
i always use dream matte mouse, but its all up to your skin type.
If you break out sometimes, go with the mineral makeup. It is nice and light and doesnt make you break out. THe drug store one is like 9 or 10 dollars, but bare minerals at Sephora is $20. I would suggest the bare minerals it is so light you can sleep in it!!! Just dont use it without a moisturizer under it or it wont stay on. I know because I use it and I have flawless clear skin!!
I usually just use cover girl for make up because I don't like to spend a lot of money but I spend a little extra on my foundation and buy lancome, because it works so well!!
Sheer-Cover its mineral and very light on your pours. I don't know if I really like it better than liquid make-up; It's light but to me it looks different. A bit more natural but if you have something you are trying to really cover up that day it doesn't seem to do the trick.
It depends oily skin should use liquid dry skin cvxcjkbvjkbnjcxn
I prefer Clinique
Crushed minerals worked nicely. Sephora has a foundation called i.d. that is pretty sweet, but expensive. In general I find that powdered foundation works better than liquid foundation, which can get messy and smear. Powdered foundation is light, as well, and can be discreetly reapplied quickly in the ladies room if you need to. If you're looking for a good powdered foundation, your best bet is to skip the drugstore and head directly to Macy's or Sephora and speak to a cosmetic specialist. They'll be able to recommend a good one for you, and for your skin tone, and there's no extra charge for their help. Drugstore variety cosmetics are much cheaper than professional kinds, (you might, for example, pay seven bucks for a foundation at Walgreens and pay 25 for a professional brand foundation) but in the long run it's worth it because you're paying for quality. Hope this helps!
Dream matte mousse by miles but you have to make sure you use the right colour =)
I use bare minerals, it's the best for your skin, because liquid foundation is the worst for your skin it's so oily! Hope I helped!鈾モ櫏

well i have never tried any of that minerals stuff, but my favourite foundation is definately - Boots 17, satin mousse powder finish foundation, its kinda like dream matte mousse but gives a better finish n dusnt make you look as fake.
Hope that helped xx
estee lauder is pretty good, but its kinda expensive
well anything that will go good with your skin tone
i've always wanted to try bare minerals myself.
it's supposed to be better for your skin, but if you want something will a little more coverage, i like ';dream matte mouse'; by mabeline.
it's not heavy on the face, and it's affordable!
my favorite is this Chanel stuff I got the other day. it perfectly matched my skin color and its not like too powdery or too chunkyish its perfect!
Make sure whatever mineral makeup you use is bismuth and talc free otherwise you may end up with clogged pores and/or an itchy rash. Many women find out after about two to three weeks of use these cause reactions!
I use the Liquid Powder Mineral Foundation from Bee-Luscious. It is bismuth, talc and oil free so no worries about clogged pores!

it's not heavy on the face, and it's affordable!
my favorite is this Chanel stuff I got the other day. it perfectly matched my skin color and its not like too powdery or too chunkyish its perfect!

How do you get make up (foundation) off of a carpet ?
I spilt foundation on my carpet and i have no idea how or if it will come off any ideas ?How do you get make up (foundation) off of a carpet ?
Ariel washing powder and hot water, use only the foam that appears when you whisk it up. Rub this into the carpet then leave for half an hour and repeat. rinse carefully with wettish cloth and hoover when dry.How do you get make up (foundation) off of a carpet ?
Try hair shampoo. When you purchase make up brushes, they say to wash them with shampoo which will cut the oils in the makeup that is left on the brush. Shampoo would probably do the same in the carpet. Worth a try?
You can also try carpet stain remover or Oxi -Clean all purpose spray works very well.
baby wipes best and cheapest removers round!!!
I did this before and i found a cleansing cloth, the ones you use to take your makeup, off worked fine.
I find that 1001 carpet cleaner is pretty good. You work the foam into the stain from the outside in, and then let it dry. Hoover the carpet when dry.

How do i pick make-up foundation that matches my skin color?
Every time I pick the color at the store it looks ok but then I try it at home and I look either orange or very pale. How do i pick make-up foundation that matches my skin color?
well the best thing u can do is to go to a department store, the sells person will put the foundation on u till they find the perfect shade. they don't let u do that at drug storesHow do i pick make-up foundation that matches my skin color?
Match the foundation to your neck color rather than your face. Most stores will let you return makeup (all high-end, some low-end like walmart, CVS), so then you can just exchange it--adjusting your purchase based on whatever results you got.
i have been there , done that, try a few colors on your skin, inside the store, then walk outside, to see the new color, bring a small mirror with you, so that you can see, don't believe that hype, ';test in on the inside of the wrist,' your face from sunlight/tanning what ever, is always darker than the wrist, so try that, and see what happens.
I learned this from a professional makeup artist:
Look at the under side of your forearm. If you have pink tones across the whole arm, you're a cool. If you have yellow tones across the whole arm you are a warm. Looking at the same place on your arm-if you have yellow tones on the outer part and pink tone on the inside part you are neutral. Then when you test the actual make up, take a sample and test three colors on your jawline (perpendicular to your jawline). Wait a couple minutes and the correct color will fall into your skin and you should hardly see it on your skin-this is the correct color for you.
you should have someone in a department store help you. my favorite is bare escentuals... works amazingly! love it!
Ask the employees.
They'll tell you.
Go near a window at the store after testing it. Natural light is best for testing foundation, if you look great in natural light, you will look great in any light. Good luck!
ask the poeple at the store for a tester.
Go to LA Minerals.com and order some samples. They're like $1 each and they ship em free. Try each one seperately and go outside with a mirror to see the true color and if it matches your skin.

How do I choose make-up foundation at the drugstore?
I am looking to buy foundation but am finding that it's hard to tell what shade would look good on me. I apply a little on my hand, but my hand is darker than my face so I'm not sure if that's a good method. I'm not that good at this.
Want to avoid the department stores as I don't want to spend a ton of money and they aren't always responsible to individuals with skin issues.
I am looking to buy Neutrogena and tend to get some minor brake-outs if I wear make-up for too long (hence my choice of N.).
Thanks. How do I choose make-up foundation at the drugstore?
pick a store that takes make up back as a return item. It is almost impossible to pick that stuff out right at the store. It's under those unpleasant flourescent lights and when you get it home and try it there you look like a frickin' clown the color is so off.How do I choose make-up foundation at the drugstore?
Foundation: choosing the right shade of foundation is hard on your own, so go to a cosmetics counter and seek professional advice. They will let you try out a range of colours and advise on which suits your skin tone best. One thing to bear in mind is that if you have only light freckles, there is no point in trying to cover them up with a darker shade - it will not work! It is better to stick to a sheer foundation. If they are very dark and you want to cover them up a little, a cream foundation will balance your skin tones.
Applying Foundation Correctly
To apply foundation, firstly dot some on your forehead, nose, chin and cheeks. Using a small cosmetic sponge dampened with a little water, blend in to your face, paying particular attention to your hairline and jawline, as these are the areas where it is easy to spot foundation that has not been blended properly. You also want to avoid the orange face, white neck effect, so make sure it is blended into your skin evenly.
After this, gently press the tips of your fingers over your face - the heat will help the blending process. Finally, check your application in natural lighting, as this will show up any problem areas best.
Setting Foudation
You might like to try patting a little face powder over it to help it set.
Well, I just usually try to compare it to my skin tone in the mirrors at the store, or put a little on my cheek if the packaging allows. There's really not much else you can do better unless you bring someone with you to help and give their opinion.
Match your neck, so the makeup on your face will blend into it and look much more natural. The color of your wrist, hand does not always match your face, especially the inside of your wrist. Even your neck isn't always the same shade as your face.
Try the new line called TruBlend (or Tru something). I hear it's great.
G
The best place to try it is the back of your forearm as the skin is the same kind of colour (normally) as your face. I have problem skin too and I've found the best thing to do when you absolutely have to wear foundation, is to blend it with your regular moisturiser so that it's not a total shock to your skin when you apply it. When the moisturiser soaks in, it kind of helps the foundation settle. If you know Neutrogena works for you then stick with it as a change could make things worse.
You could try going for a free make up analysis at a department store then go away with the free samples and recommendations o use elsewhere!

I am looking for a foundation that is good for slightly oily skin. Are there any suggestions or recommendations? What is a good make-up foundation for oily skin?
I use MAC Studio fix and MAC Blot Powder or Chanel Oil sheets after I apply my setting powder throughout the day. What is a good make-up foundation for oily skin?
Revlon Colourstay for Combo/Oily skin has worked the best out of ALOT of liquid foundations I've tried, and if you've only got slightly oily skin then I'm sure it will work really well for you :)
What I'm using the now is Benefit Hello Flawless powder foundation and it's amazing! It's really good for oily skin and it lasts through a full school day for me so I would definitely reccomend. Also, it doesn't oxidize like some foundations and go all orange.
use a tinted moisturiser first, then for any other coverage use mineral foundation,.. or just mineral foundation not moisturiser as it can then let the skin breath not clog up and become oily... it also clears pimples as other foundations clog poors... mineral powder is a wonder...
i myself have oily skin and use revlon colorstay with softflex for combination/oily skin... it mattyfies your face through the day. but after u apply it dust revlon mineral foundation powder over to set ur foundation. also when using this product make sure to moisturise your face first and let it set for 10 min. when u apply the foundation dot it on the area and rub from the nose outward to ur hair line at the same time
do a small area at a time as it does tend to dry very quickly
good luck =)
Hey,
I started using clinique super balanced makeup, and I LOVE it...I will never use any other foundation EVER! I swear by this stuff. When you put it on, you feel like you arent wearing makeup. There is no cakey feeling or orangy tint to it, its pure makeup and it feel so natural. plus there are tons of shades. It's a bit on the pricey side, but lasts awhile( just make sure you buy new foundation ever 6 months to a year%26lt;--- very important)
Hope I helped!!
you should google Dinair Airbrush Makeup...its amazing...it covers everything and makes my skin look flawless...its also all water based so its not bad for ur skin....they have this stuff you can out on under ur makeup that absorbs and gets rid of oil as its produced...ive been using their stuff for the past 2 years and i LOVE it..anywho..hope i helped..=)

I used bare minerals that you always see on TV it works REALLY good well for me anyway it is a little expensive but it is worth EVERY penny I have gotten SOO many comments on how my face looks so I would definitly recommend it!!
Covergirl and SheerCover. Although you have to join an auto-mailing to get sheer cover- it's TRULY extraordinary!

I've used Revlon and L'oreal and like both of those brands.
max factor is my favorite!!....
from clinic...they have consultants and you can ask them. it makes your skin look flawless. It is a little bit more expensive than most makeup though. Also it is really good to buy a primer for your makeup as well so that your makeup stays on all day. But the clinic makeup is really high quality. Good Luck!

What can I add to a make-up foundation to make it lighter?
Thank you. What can I add to a make-up foundation to make it lighter?
like lighter in weight?
or lighter in color?
to make it lighter in weight you can add moisturizer/lotion
to make it lighter in color, add a few drops of your concealer (since it's usually lighter) to your foundationWhat can I add to a make-up foundation to make it lighter?
I spend so much time mixing foundation to get it lighter. Talcum powder works a bit of you want a more matte formulae as well as lighter, but usually I just find a reallyu light foundation and mix it with the darker one that has the right consistency but it never works that well. What I now do is go to beauty make up counters and try their make up like Bobbi Brown, Estee Lauder etc because they do very plae make up and get my skin matched, then I ask for a sample to try it out to make sure it works for me, and then I have my own little pot of pale foundation!
Try mixing it with a lighter shade of foundation. This might defeat the purpose of what you are trying to do (like avoid buying another foundation) but its the only thing that I can think of that I have actually seen work well.
NOTHING!!!
the secret to make your foundation lighter is....?
?
?
blending your foundation with a brush (foundation or make-up brush)
my sister can never find a foundation for her tone.
so i got some of mine, filed a tiny small sealable tub with mine.(medium) and added a few drops of moisturiser at a time unill the shade came out.
good luck:) x

What is the best kind of make up foundation and concealer?
I have tried different kinds and I don't think Im pleased yet. I need something that wont rub off and will last all day and keep my face looking soft. Something very light not heavy feeling. What is the best concealer to cover up dark circles? What is the best kind of make up foundation and concealer?
Hello kms,
How are you? My name is Cassandra Lane, I am a Certified Beauty Advisor with Avon. I recommend Avon's BEYOND COLOR Skin Smoothing Compact Foundation. Here is the description:
Instantly skin looks %26amp; feels firmer %26amp; more radiant. Smoothes on with creamy full coverage, dries to a soft powder finish. Evens out skin tone. .31 oz. net wt.
For the best concealer that covers dark circles, I recommend Avon's IDEAL SHADE Concealer Stick. Here is the description:
The perfect cover-up. Seamless, skin-true, full coverage. Visibly conceal under eye circles %26amp; blemishes. Preciselight Technology.
Eyes look tired? Gently pat concealer along under eye circles from inside out, then blend. Now you're out-the-door ready with spot-on confidence. .07 oz. net wt.
Beauty Tip by Jillian Dempsey...To cover dark under eye circles, choose a concealer shade a touch lighter than your natural skin tone. But don't go too light...or you'll spotlight the area you want to conceal and end up with raccoon eyes. There's a buy1, get1 half off sale going with this item. What is the best kind of make up foundation and concealer?
My favorite concealer is between Rimmel Hide-the-Blemish concealer, and MAC Studio Fix. Both cover under eye circles and minor imperfections amazingly well and since they have a creamy consistency, they don't budge throughout the day.
Are you looking for a liquid foundation? mineral? whipped? cream? For liquid I recommend Revlon ColorStay. It's tons cheaper than high end brands but is just as good. It's got a huge variety of shades and formulas and medium to full coverage. For whipped, I like CoverGirl Tru Blend whipped foundation. For mineral, I strongly recommend Maybelline Mineral Power.
I swear by Maybelline Liquid Minerals, it goes on really well and is kind to your skin, plus i like the fact that it's liquid rather than those annoying powdered mineral foundations. It doesn't contain talc or oil like most foundations, resulting in dry or greasy skin. Eurghhh
As for concealer, you really cannot beat Touche Eclat by YSL. It's expensive, but really worth the money. I got it on special offer so i bought two! seriously, you just whack it on under your eyes and it instantly brightens them and makes you look as if you've had 8 hours sleep even if you've been up all night.
Try looking for it on ebay, or on discount beauty sites such as www.beautyrocket.com, you might just get lucky!
Best of Luck! xx

How to apply make up foundation on man face with 2-3 days beard?
My man is always having a 2-3 days beard. His face skin is not having a smooth colour and it's a little bit rough. Once I tried to put some make up to hide some acne and this foundation was so much visible on him. I even could see some of foundation between his beard hairs.
How to apply make up foundation on the man face with 2-3 days beard? How to apply make up foundation on man face with 2-3 days beard?
he's a man. he doesn't need foundation. What you need to do is do some research on acne products and find which one works for him. I suggest perhaps a dermatologist. Make up is for girls for a reason. unless hes in a play do not belittle him like that. Doing that is just saying to him that you don't like the way he looks. he's a man. he doesn't need foundation. What you need to do is do some research on acne products and find which one works for him. I suggest perhaps a dermatologist. Make up is for girls for a reason. unless hes in a play do not belittle him like that. Doing that is just saying to him that you don't like the way he looks. What is the best treatment and make-up foundation for severe acne and oily skin?
I have oily skin and bad acne...I have tried seriously everything from Pro-active to clean and clear to neutrogena to noxema to arbonne and everything in between. Salycilic acid and benzoyl peroxide do not work for me. I was looking into emu oil, but i dont know if it would make my skin even more oily or not, and if it would look good under foundation. I wear make-up as well, and since my face gets really oily quickly, i was looking for a good foundation that covers up blemishes and also does not look oily. I guess I am looking for suggestions about any face washes, creams, makeup or treatments that work well. I am a college student, and I do not have all that much money, so I usually do not get real expensive stuff. Thanks! What is the best treatment and make-up foundation for severe acne and oily skin?

hun...i have the same problem as u but not very severe....try clinique foundation or get power foundation or foundation fron loreal which has oil control. for the pimples try differin gel and eryacne gel. just take a small amount, mix them together and apply at night and wash it off in the morning with cold or tepid water. ohh yer....wash your face with your cleaner and then apply it.........try sleeping on your back at night coz it makes it easy for fluids to flow and try to get hair off your face when going to bed and dony eat alot off chille food...hope that helps and good luck.
Ask your doctor for a prescription for Benza-Clin. Also, I find that Neutrogena sensitive skin face wash works. Make sure you moisturize after every time you wash your face. It will make it less oily-believe it or not. I have also heard that putting egg whites on your face and letting it dry can do miracles if you do it every night for like 3 months. Lastly, no matter what the product says, no cover-up or foundation is going to prevent or treat acne for you. Better to let your skin ';breathe'; (the products that say they do this are lying) than cover it up. Maybe have your parents splurge on a trip to a dermatologist when you go home for a visit. Good Luck!
Mineral Makeup - not any old powder makeup, but MINERAL makeup is far better than any wet foundation. Your skin can breathe.
Also use Mario Badescu drying lotion on your breakouts. Don't shake it up, use it exactly how it says to use it, and you won't be disappointed. The stuff is fantastic. Be sure to get a supply of q-tips for using it.
You can find it on ebay. I just looked at the auction and you can get the whole facial kit including the drying lotion. (It was auction
#180035833144 - and, NO it is not my auction.) It can also be bought at MarioBadescu.com.
Good luck!

This will be as about as cheap as it gets. Dawn soap, wash your face morning and at night. Use rubbing alcohol to help remove the oil from your face before applying base.eye makeup

What is the best make-up foundation I can get at Target or a drugstore?
I need to buy a good quality makeup. I have combination skin so I need something that wont clog pores. Something that has a flawless finish as well. I am 32 years old. What is the best make-up foundation I can get at Target or a drugstore?
with a combination skin you can check out the different type of make up products specially in foundation, you must use different type of foundation for day and night make up. In this way you can get best results for your makeup and skin. What is the best make-up foundation I can get at Target or a drugstore?
I would highly recommend you go with loreal bare naturale.. it makes your skin look flawless.. very natural doesn't even feel like your wearing makeup.. and this product won't clog pores bc its natural..
also a tip.. if you go to RITEAID you can buy any type of makeup, try it and if you don't like it then you are allowed to return it.. so what i would do is try new and diff things.
Revlon's Colorstay Foundation works beautifully. It goes on really smoothly and is often compared to MAC foundations. The only bad part about it is that it doesn't come with a pump, so it's harder to get from the bottle. This product comes in a lot of different shades, so it should be easy to find a good match. It usually retails for around $13 at drugstores.
Maybelline's Pure Makeup Foundation works pretty nicely as well. Since it's made of 50% water, it won't clog your pores, but it'll still provide decent coverage. It is oil free. This product costs around $5 at drugstores usually.
Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse provides a somewhat heavier coverage, but it still works well. It takes longer to apply, since it's a mousse (in my opinion, at least), but it works all right. It costs around $8.
I hope this helps!(:
Good luck.
i love my cover up and it works really well!! - cover girl AquaSmooth
I get (and LOVE) covergirl clean make up. it's a liquid. I also opt for the unscented one since my skin is really sensitive.

I don't like the idea of buying foundation or concealer in a drugstore because lighting is generally bad. I find it hard to find an actual match. (You can buy clinique foundation at dillards if your mall has it but it will cost you around $20, so it's a little pricy, but the person helps you find the shade and type for your skin, which is a plus)
Some good brands at drug stores:
l'oreal true match and bare naturale (mineral)
almay smart shade, any covergirl, revlon colorstay
you can really experiment with what is good with your skin :)

What is the best make-up foundation for oily skin, that will prevent breakouts?
I am using Mary Kay foundation right now and my doctor told me that that can often cause the skin to break-out if you have oily skin. What is the best foundation to use? I already have Bare Minerals powder, which is really good on the skin. But is there any liquid foundations? What is the best make-up foundation for oily skin, that will prevent breakouts?
Really, the best thing to use is the mineral make-up. Liquid make-up contains chemicals and preservatives which are irritating to the skin, and even ones labeled as non-comedogenic (non-clogging) clog the pores to some degree which can cause break-outs.What is the best make-up foundation for oily skin, that will prevent breakouts?
So why don't you ask you Doctor what you should use if he thinks Mary Kay cause break outs I'm confused as to why he would tell you that and not tell you what you should do.
I would question him what is he talking about Mary Kay dermatologist and scientist would disagree. Med coverage was created for oily skin It is
Non-comedogenic.
Dermatologist-tested.
Fragrance-free.
Suitable for sensitive skin.
Best for normal to oily skin types.
Oil-free.
Lightweight and long-wearing.
Helps control excess oil for at least eight hours.
Have you had problems with break out since you started using it??? Try the mineral foundation but the important thing is a good skin care routine what are you using to cleans your skin and make sure you use an oil free moisturizer
go to target or walmart and look for loreal bare naturale. i have the powder kind but im pretty sure they haveliquid too. its really good for your skin because its mineral makeup and it have SPF 19 in it. its kinda expensive tho, but it is good.
if you can splurge, Chanel (the most amazing thing i tried on)
for a more cheaper option, Covergirl, it is actually pretty good, i have really oily skin so ya..

How to apply foundation/make up?
alright, well this question is long overdue but i feel completely clueless. is there a difference between ';liquid makeup'; and ';foundation';? and uhhh, wow i feel foolish, but how do you apply liquid foundation? like not only the tips and tricks, but the basics too. any help is MUCH appreciated. thanks! How to apply foundation/make up?
Well the biggest thing about applying a liquid makeup is finding the exact match for your skin tone. Normally going to a beauty specialist (those found in the mall department stores) will be the easiest way of finding the correct color. You don't necessarily need to go with that particular brand but it will give you the guidelines you need to choose your correct color in your preferred brand. I normally go something long lasting. Then I put a small amount of foundation (which is the same as liquid makeup, but called foundation because it is the first step of applying makeup) and I also put some lotion, normally something with SPF) and apply the foundation and lotion together all over my face in one step. Make sure you apply under your chin and blend it downward to prevent the dreaded makeup line! I normally finish up with a powder that matches my foundation color. I hope this helps, if you have any questions feel free to email me.How to apply foundation/make up?
I don't find there to be a difference between liquid makeup and foundation. I apply my liquid makeup by putting a nice sized dot on my chin, both cheeks, nose, and forehead and then blending it together by rubbing my face with my hand. That way, my foundation is blended evenly and blended in. You also want to buy a color that is right for your skin tone.
lol yea its the same thing....but theres liquid..and theres powder..powder is better for oily skins and acne prone... i use liquid...im only 15 but ive been doing make up for the past 4 years....usually i apply the liquid foundation on the back of my hand then blend it out and apply it onto the forehead, the cheeks, the nose, the chin, upper lip ( if its a little discolored ) and rub the rst of on the kneck to blend in.... I use to use a big blush brush but i found that a smaller Blush brush about 1 inch thick helps make it look more flawless and airbrush...u just blend out the splotches of liquid foundation you already applied to the face and do it in a circular motion out to the hair line and down to the chin...makesure there arent any lines....thats why you must do it in a circular motion...it loooks really flawless when i do it on myself...and im an assistant for a makeup artist around my area.

Does Mineral Make-up foundation really work good like any other liquid foundation?
I'm just thinking about trying a healthier make-up idea and was just wondering if it does? Also, does Mineral Make-up stay on for long hours?Does Mineral Make-up foundation really work good like any other liquid foundation?
I heard that it does. It is suppose to be better 4 ur skin and protect from blemishes. I just ordered some to try it. I hope it works.Does Mineral Make-up foundation really work good like any other liquid foundation?
I just switched to mineral makeup from liquid and let me tell you I am in love. It stays on better and has better oil control. I look much more natural and I am just more confident in this makeup. The best part is I don't feel it like I did the liquid. I use the brand Everyday Minerals. It has a great rating on makeup review site makeupalley.com. A lot of people like it over Bare Minerals because it doesn't have bismuth in it which can irritate the skin. It is also cheaper in price.
It is 100% natural too. If you want to try you can get a generous sample kit and all you have to pay is like $4 shipping. I got me and my mom samples and then we liked it so much we bought a custom kit. The long handled kabuki brush on that site is a must have too if you do want to buy.
If anything just get the free sample and see how you like it! You can choose 3 foundations, a concealer, and a blush. You can order a lot of samples to find your color and even email a picture of yourself to the company and they will recommend what shades would best suit you.
Good luck!
i love it! it stays on a long time and is really good coverage and i don't have breakouts anymore. just don't get the drug store crap it doesn't work as well as the pure mineral foundation at merel norman cosmetics. theirs is the best out there! trust me i've tried them all!
In 2006, I bought Bare Minerals (Bare Escentuals) for my Christmas resent to me and I've never gone back. I love it. I also tried the one that Leeza Gibbons promotes, but I don't like it as much. It goes on too thick.
The Bare Escentuals (BE from now on) is fabulous. It's no more $$ than other make-up you'd buy at Department stores. The best thing to do is go to one of their stores or Sephora or Ulta and get someone to help you decided which color combo is for you. Then buy the kit that's about $60. It's price controlled like Ipods and stuff so you can't buy it for less Except on QVC. The lady that's the CEO, Leslie, does those sales on QVC and I've gotten great deals there. But first you need to kno what color to buy, so go to one of the stores. One other shopping tip is buy kits. They are much cheaper than buying one item at a time.. I have spent more $$ than I care to admit! LOL
Here's the reasons it so wonderful. You'll never have to worry about that line where your liquid foundation is at your face/neck. It's odd, but it just doesn't do it. EVER! Also, you can put on a little or if you need heavy makeup one day for what ever reason, you just load up the brush again and swirl, tap and buff some more. It really gives an airbrush quality to your look. It also looks like your not wearing as much make up. I'm wearing it in my profile picture, It just blends so nicely. I love it. I'm 44 and all of my friends made fun of me when they'd call and say, ';What are you doing?'; and I'd say,';Playing with make-up! You've gotta try this stuff!'; I've turned my 18 year old daughter on to it and my 13 year old is just begining to really want more make up and she's using it too. No I don't work for them. ; )
If you go to Ulta, I know they'll do your makeup for you and you can see the difference. The kit may be cheaper on QVC's web site though and you can also go to the company website, but I know they say she (Leslie) does really good pricing for QVC. The beginner kit comes with a DVD on applying the makeup. And you can see when the info-mercials or when she'll be on QVC and then that's more free 'lessons'.
You need their brushes. They're great and they do hold the product in the bristles so that the whole program works better. But they come with the kits, so that's why I get the kits.
I just looked up the addresses and it says Leslie will be on QVC on the 26th. When she does the QVC things she sells things cheaper shile the TV elling part is going on, so you might can get a better deal if you watch and buy it then. But go check your color first! It's odd, but there aren't a bunch of different colors to pick from but they match absolutely everyone. Strange but true. ; )
QVC Show Date and Times: also saw 10-12pm EST on the 25th.
Saturday, January 26
Midnight 鈥?2am EST
2pm 鈥?4pm EST
10pm 鈥?Midnight EST
You'll never go back to streaky, messy, goopy, line leaving liquid makeup again!
And YES it does stay on longer. The mineral viel that you use last, is like powder, but not thick like traditional powder. It also helps make your pores look smaller, it's all like magic, I promise.
Go to all the sites and see where you can get the best deal. The best deal WILL be on line, the stores are all the same $. Though, I've never been to one of Bare Escentuals stores, they may be different.
Good Luck and I know you'll love it!
Well i recently just bought mineral make-up and it works really good. It makes my skin feel really clean and , it doesn't even look/feel like I'm wearing make-up. I also have liquid make-up for my face, and i don't really like it because it feels that there is so much make-up on my face. I suggest going to CVS and getting the new Maybelline mineral make-up and the Maybelline mouesse concealer/foundation. They work great and stay on long!
Hope you find make-up you like!
I don't think that it works like a liquid, becasue liquid foundation is super thick and cakey. But it works for me and stays on.
I love the Liquid Powder Mineral Foundation from Bee-Luscious. It is the best of both liquid and minerals. It has no bismuth or talc like BM and BE and no oils to clog your pores. This stuff has real staying power. I had it on for like 15 hours once and it never faded one bit!
yea.. depends on what makeup your using.. what brand.. liquid can be good.. like clinique is hypoallerginic.. good makeup i use that and no breakouts for me :)
No... better.
It isnt liquid, its powder.
and, it stays on for me.
BARE MINERALS ! Buy it, it works amazing. It is so fresh and isn't cakey, doesn't dry out your skin, it really makes your skin look perfect.
http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh鈥?/a>
it works better, its not as thick (obviously) and it wont feel as heavy on your face. It looks better, and it wont clog your pores as much. I know its expensive, but i would totally spend the money on Sheer Cover!
You know what? I'm a foundation freak. I have like 4 drawers full of em' and I personally don't like mineral foundation, it works for some people, and it doesn't work for others.
It doesn't cover anything AT ALL.
%26amp; just because it's minerals doesn't mean its better for your face, it has minerals that aren't good for you skin either.
Just use regular liquid or matte foundation and wash it off at night before you go to sleep!
Mineral foundation is a waste.

It is so fresh and isn't cakey, doesn't dry out your skin, it really makes your skin look perfect.

it works better, its not as thick (obviously) and it wont feel as heavy on your face.
What make-up foundation is actually good to leave on overnight?
Thanks for any info. What make-up foundation is actually good to leave on overnight?
derr, my sister used olay stuff, they are ok i suppose cause she doesn't have any rashes or stuff...What make-up foundation is actually good to leave on overnight?
I don't think wearing FOUNDATION is a good idea, if you're talking about tinted moisturizers, then maybe, because they ARE moisturizers, but really, do you need the tinting at night when you sleep? Who's gonna see you? And if you're worried about your significant other, its gonna be dark anyway! I've heard the bare minerals stuff is nice to the point where you can sleep in it, but really, I don't think its really good for your pores to be covered all night by something. L'Oreal makes a LOT of night cremes, some for under the eyes specifically, others for the whole face. It all depends on what you need, if its firming cream, line-reducing cream and so on. You just have to go to that isle at the department store and look for moisturizers/creams that are meant for night. The boxes SHOULD say it if they are.

It's pretty expensive though.
I think no foundation is good for the whole night. After all they all cover ur skin and make the pores not breath,ur face should be clean at night, just use good night cream or moisturizer that's it.
Don't use foundation. Use dermisil lotion. It dries really quickly and heals skin fast

What's the best foundation make-up out there?
What brand covers the best? What's the best foundation make-up out there?
Shiseido. They have one that is a powder in a compact. It comes with a round sponge instead of a powder puff because you get it wet to apply and then it dries into perfect powdery coverage. Shiseido's philosophy is help the skin be healthy, not just cover up the flaws. I love this line of cosmetics. They offer six other types of foundations and one concealer, as well, but I prefer the powdery compact. What's the best foundation make-up out there?
It depends completely on your skin type, because what works for one woman may not work for another. I prefer to use tinted moisturizer over foundation because I get a more natural look, and I find that when I wear foundation, it looks like I'm wearing a mask. On occassion, when I'm going to a black-tie affair, I'll wear foundation for a flawless look.
Here are my favorites (I have combination skin):
Liquid Foundation: Clinique's Soft Finish Makeup
Tinted Moisturizer: Smashbox's Sheer Focus Oil-Free Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 15
Powder Foundation: Clinique's Almost Powder Makeup with SPF15
NARS Oil Free and Laura Mercier Oil Free, M.A.C. is good too, Studio Fix is fairly heavy coverage tho but if you use a damp make-up sponge to apply, it should be good....the best mineral make-up out there is Jane Iredale...do a search and find retailers...usually derm's offices or spas, I'm in the industry (for 20 years) so I know what I'm talking about...good luck.
Depends on what kind of skin you have. If you are oily like me, don't even bother with ordinary foundations. Try a concealer that is expandable like Vichy Dermablend Concealer. If you are dry, use moisturizing brands that are age defying. The best is MAC mineralized-
LORAC BREAKTHROUGH PERFORMANCE FOUNDATION get flawless coverage on or off the red carpet while pampering your skin it contains anti-aging,hydrating ingredients + antioxidants to help skin look younger and radiant and contains SPF 14
i agree with snoopy. bare minerals is the best by far. its a bit pricey, but a tup will last about 8-10 months so you get your moneys worth.
they sell a cheaper version at walmart- maybelline mineral foundation. it doesnt work as good though.
Loreal Mineral Powder
it works really good, long lasting, and SPF 13
Mary Kay has wonderful products.
My favorite: the concealer and the mineral powder!
MAC!
