What's a good make up foundation for these hot summer days????

It's so hot outside and I have alot of outdoor events to go to. I need suggestions for a good foundation that will stand the heat and a bit of sweat (yuck, these TX summer days are a killer). Anyone have any ideas? Something at the drug stores or a place like Target is preffered since I hate going to the mall. What's a good make up foundation for these hot summer days????
I hear ya girl! I live in Texas as well and it is something else trying to keep on a foundation in the summer! Maybelline ';pure'; Foundation stays on really well through the whole day. What's a good make up foundation for these hot summer days????
how bout investing in a powder foundation?

it'll soak up the oil and/or sweat on your face, that's what sets it apart from liquid foundation.

i use studio fix powder (mac) and it covers beautifully and with whatever coverage your needing. give that a shot. you can always return it if ur not happy.
check out shisiedo..they have a great matte base
Your best option would be to use a tinted moisturizer. It gives the same coverage as foundation, but is less heavy on the skin. Try clinque.
you shouldn't wear foundation in heat and humidity..

it will literally sink into your pores and destroy your skin.you can use a tinted moisturizer..with spf in it .

i personally like plain natural glowing skin during the summer.
I love Bare Minerals. It never runs or spots. Also, it does not plug your pores if you are sweating. You can buy online or at any Sephora. It's the best make-up I've ever used, and it lasts forever. It's totally worth the investment.
I live in Florida where it is hot and humid so I feel your pain. I use REVLON ColorStay Active foundation. It's in a liquid form and I've found the best price is Wal-Mart. This stuff really stays on from morning until night when I take it off. It does not melt or streak and your face looks natural and not made up in natural sunlight. I have two toddlers so we are outside a lot during the day and when we are inside they want to wrestle but my makeup does not come off on them or my clothes. I love it. Good Luck.

Buying guide for Foundation

Hi Amber,

I understand about wanting coverage.

Since Summer is always hot with humidity. Makeup tends to melt off or makes you look super oily.

What I do is exfoliate my skin first to get rid of dead skin cells.

I then invest a good foundation primer. This sets the foundation for a smooth application.

I would just only cover areas that are the problem the less foundation, the less of the mess..

Instead of using foundation, you could use concealer in problem areas and blend those areas. Add foundation if you really need to but not alot. Then invest in a loose powder and dust over your face to blend with the concealed area.

Since you have less makeup, you can carry your concealer and loose powder in your purse for touchups.

You could also invest in some oilblotting papers to reduce the shine. I think Clean and Clear makes some.
My best recommendation to you is to use a non-tansferable foundation. It will not come off, and it will not clog your pores. Individualist by Estee Lauder is a very great light coverage foundation. For a little heavier coverage, the have one called double wear. I wear those year round, and they are wonderful.

Revlon also has a couple of foundations that are non transferable and they are reallly really good with coverage and wear longevity. Max factor, and Sonia Kashuk also have really good foundations, choose according to your skin type.

Whatever you do, don't go with a heavy powder foundation, because all it will do it clog your pores and cake on with the oil on your skin.
