Can my make up foundation be lighter then my skin color?

No, only one shade darker but you have to make sure it is in your tone for example- cool or warm otherwise you'll end up with your neck looking a different color as your face, I would recommend only one shade darker, depending on the time of year, In the winter go with a matte finish and in summer something with a glow to it; sheer make up works great, nothing heavy or thick. Ideally, no. Foundation should enhance your skin tone, not change it. If you're having trouble matching your tone, check out the brand I wear - aularale.com/7002, Theirs matches tones 3 shades lighter or datker from one bottle. Can my make up foundation be lighter then my skin color?
Foundation should be one shade darker say you were fair you would use the next one up if you use one lighter you will look really pale but you natural colour seeps through in places not a good look :) hope i helped
You could purchase such a foundation, but my bets are on that it will not cover many flaws. Try getting one to match your skin color or even a shade slightly darker. It provides a better coverage.
Foundation should be one shade darker than your normal skin color. If you go lighter then you are going to end up too white, and look ghoulish.
