I don't get what the difference is between foundation(make-up) & cover up is -- can anyone help?

foundation

-applied to the whole face

-evens out skin tone

-should contain a sunscreen (if quality)

-should match skin tone exactly

-can be liquid, powder, cream or mineral

cover up

-only applied to problem areas in small amounts

-----pimples

-----under eye circles

-----scars

-blends in with the surrounding skin to make it look like the blemish isn't there, very potent color

-can come in yellow, green or skin-tone colors

-can come in cream, sticks or liquid

concealer is like a very potent, high color foundation. a foundation may help even out your color/pores, but it won't fully cover up a pimple. when you need that extra coverage, use a coverup to really make that blend inI don't get what the difference is between foundation(make-up) %26amp; cover up is -- can anyone help?
I'll list the basic descriptions of commonly used face products.

Primer: This product is to be put on after a moisturizer, but before any other makeup face products. The use of this product is to keep your foundations or conealers on longer. It sort of sticks them to your face, so you don't have to keep re-applying them as much throughout the day.

Foundation: Should be used in a light layer on your entire face. It's used to cover up mild facial blemishes and uneven skin tones. It is usually the first product applied to your face (After the moisturizer and face primer)

Concealer: This product is thicker than a foundation. It is meant to cover up partial facial blemishes, such as red facial tones or dark eye circles. It is not to be applied to the entire face like foundation. It can be applied by itself or over your foundation, to cover up what the foundation couldn't.

Pressed/Loose Powder: Should be used over foundation and concealer. Since concealers and foundations can give your face an oily look, a powder will give your face a more natural, smooth appearance. It can be used alone on your face, but it doesn't provide much coverage. Compacted powders provide more of a coverage than the loose powder does.I don't get what the difference is between foundation(make-up) %26amp; cover up is -- can anyone help?
People put cover up on only small portions of their face like pimples (to hide the redness) or under-eye circles (to lighten them up). Foundation is spread over the entire face to blend over top of the cover up and to even-out your skin tone.
foundation is used to make your face look smooth and Irresistable and cover up is to hide bad blemish's
