sponge is the best coz it spreads evenly and gives a natural finish. it's normally triangular or square in shape. so the tip reaches the corners of the eyes and nose and on the upper and lower parts of the eyes.
fingers tend to cause un-even spreading leading to the foundation being too much in some areas and too little in others. use the fingers to dot the foundation on ur face only.
due to the thickness of the brush, it takes up a lot of foundation in its bristles and cannot spread it nicely under the eyes, on the lids and the corners of the eyes and nose. What is foundation (the make-up) best applied with - brush, sponge, fingers, etc?
I've heard some makeup artists love the foundation brush, but most use the non latex white triangle sponges. You can find those anywhere. Stipple the foundation on instead of smearing it around your face, and you use less and cover all imperfections. What is foundation (the make-up) best applied with - brush, sponge, fingers, etc?
forget fingers and sponge. finger will not give it the right look and the sponge soaks up half of the expensive foundation you have just purchased and also gives streak marks and can leave that look. go for the brush invest in a 40.00 brush of good quality that can be washed repeatedly you always want to work from a clean brush and then use it on your face also will give you a more natural looking look. and not caked on like some of these sponges do and pads out there.
if u are using liquid foundation its better to apply it with fingers and if using powder foundation use a brush i recommend using loose powder
Try putting some cover-up on a sponge, then some moisturizer. It gives the whole face a young and healthy look.
Thats what I do. =]
We always used a sponge when I was in plays, it seemed to work fine. It gave a very evn coat.
For liquid: sponge.
Other: brush.
definitely sponge and if there are a few spots that wont rub in perfectly use you're finger! Make sure after you're done wearing the foundation to clean you're skin well and make sure it's all off other wise it will clog you're pores and you well get acne! if you have acne already using foundation to cover it usually looks awful unless you're zits have know texture( don't rise).
well i put it on with my fingers first then i go over it with a sponge to blend it and it looks natural and clean. hope i helped =]

I apply with a sponge and start from the middle of your face and blend it outward. This will help with leaving any lines that may appear and avoid putting too much on.
