What is the best way to put foundation/skin make up on?

Im decent at putting make up on, but sometimes I will see girls with the most porclien looking skin. What way do you apply foundation? My regieme consists of washing my face, putting on some facial lotion and then concealor on certain spots and then a light translucent powder. What is the best way to put foundation/skin make up on?
Foundation: choosing the right shade of foundation is hard on your own, so go to a cosmetics counter and seek professional advice. They will let you try out a range of colours and advise on which suits your skin tone best. One thing to bear in mind is that if you have only light freckles, there is no point in trying to cover them up with a darker shade - it will not work! It is better to stick to a sheer foundation. If they are very dark and you want to cover them up a little, a cream foundation will balance your skin tones. To apply foundation, firstly dot some on your forehead, nose, chin and cheeks. Using a small cosmetic sponge dampened with a little water, blend in to your face, paying particular attention to your hairline and jawline, as these are the areas where it is easy to spot foundation that has not been blended properly. You also want to avoid the orange face, white neck effect, so make sure it is blended into your skin evenly.

After this, gently press the tips of your fingers over your face - the heat will help the blending process. Finally, check your application in natural lighting, as this will show up any problem areas best. What is the best way to put foundation/skin make up on?
Any time. Report Abuse

Try the liquid kind with a big brush !!! M.A.C has all that stuff I love it:)
Dab it on your forehead, cheeks and chin then rub the foundation in using your fingers not a sponge.
dab dab dab dab dab dab dab dab dab dab
WEll, first use a facial lotion and then use concealer to cover up those flaws. spread the fountain all round ur face (u'll look all crazy n everything) take a sponge, and pour water and on it. Drain the excess water it until damp. And BLEND!!!
My favorite question, You're doing it right by adding a base before your foundation. Apply a foundation 1 shade lighter than your face then apply a pressed matte powder over.

Perfect complexion!!

**use concealer when you have a breakout, I like to use a concealer shade one shade lighter than my foundation under my eye.
If you use an airbrush foundation, that is supposed to make your skin look like porcelain. But, i think it might be expensive.
Apply some liquid or creamy foundation with a sponge. If your face tends to shine, apply the translucent powder at the end and troughout the day.
The first thing is to wash your face and then apply concealor on the blemishes or spots that you might have, then apply foundation on you face with your finger tips about a pea size, then you can apply loose powder (I recommend MAC)... you can then apply some blush so your face won't look to plain.
